Ok, Wilson Family - leave me a comment and tell me which ones you like best. I numbered them so it would be easier. I want to enlarge one of the family pics for mom & dad and each of us. I still have to edit the individual famlies. They will be posted later!
If any of you have pics of my fam, will you let me know. I was hoping with all of the cameras that someone would have another shot of our fam. The only one I seem to have is the one I posted here & only have it in black and whte for some reason. I love the pic, but want to do some other things with it and have the color there. Let me know! Thanks!!!

100th Post of the year!

I just noticed that this would be the 100th time I have posted this year! Wow! Thought I would use it to update on the fam!
We had a great Thanksgiving week. Mat's bro, Mike and his wife, Julia flew down on Monday. They stayed at our place and it was great. Julia did my hair - hallelujah! We took them down to the strip and they took us out to eat! Yummy buffet! The rest of the Wilson family came in on Wednesday. Mom and dad, Cristin, Eric, and Sarah flew down in the morning; Mark, Dannielle and Paityn drove down and got here in the early afternoon. They all stayed at the Marriott down the street, but it was a full house with everyone hanging out! I loved it! I loved having all of the family here. I loved meeting Paityn! I loved it!
That night we went to the Outlet Mall to shop and eat. I had to go into work, but everyone else was tired and wanted to go back and sleep anyway, so I didn't feel too left out! :)

The next morning was Thanksgiving day. We all got pretty and went over to our church to do some family pictures. Our church has some stairs and flowers and trees out front so I thought it would be a nice quiet place to do the pics. Let me just say - the Wilson boys are trouble makers! They don't like pictures and it is like pulling teeth to get them to be normal! We did get some nice shots though, and I will post them later.

Then we headed to the Silverton Lodge and Casino for dinner! That is the best way to do it - especially when you are the one hosting everyone! Everyone ate everything they could stuff in their mouth! It wasn't even very busy so that was a HUGE bonus! After eating - and trying to digest a little so we could walk! - we went shopping at the Bass Pro Shop at the Silverton. I think everyone enjoyed that, even though it was an outdoors shop. There was a cute Santa workshop set up for the kids to play. The girls liked all of the games there was to play. (Tourists! Taking pics of everything! hehehe!)

After we ate and shopped, we went back home for naps!

That night all of the big girls went to see New Moon! It was great! It was nice to see it with all of them! Julia has never read the books, but went and saw Twilight with us last year, so it is fun to watch her react to it without knowing what is going to happen!

On black Friday, most of the boys wanted to go back to Bass Pro Shop! Guess there were some good sales or something!
Sarah and Eric hung out at our place and played games and watched movies!

Friday afternoon we went back down to the strip with everyone. Then we went to the Chocolate Factory here in Henderson. The cactus garden was all decorated and we got there at dusk when the lights are turned on! Good timing!
It was fun to see how Nevada decorates for Christmas!

I had to head to work at 4, so that was the end of my Thanksgiving weekend, and seeing everyone! (I was at work until 3 am the next morning and everyone flew out in the am, so I had to say my goodbyes at the Gardens.)
~~~
We had a ton of fun having everyone here! It totally made Thanksgiving for me, having family around. I missed my family and wished we could have seen them as well. I am grateful for all of our family and the memories we have with them!
~~~
P.S. More pics to come soon! I am still trying to recover from this weekend of working! I worked 21 hours in about the time of about 38 hours! I am pooped! Glad Black Friday weekend is over!

A Happy Update!

My mom sent me an e-mail this morning. She told me I needed to update my blog with some happy news.
I got Thanksgiving off! It was just a few weeks ago that I found out Old Navy would be open on Thanksgiving for the first time ever! I was upset, because I knew I would end up having to work. This also put a wrench in our plans. Mat's family is coming down for Thanksgiving and that is the only day that I knew I would be able to relax and spend with them. I talked to my manager and she was so great about it. She told me enough people had volunteered to work on Thanksgiving, that I was ok to not have to come in. YAY!!! Now I can go see "New Moon" with all my sister-in-laws that night! And I won't have to hurry to eat and rush everything that day! YAY!!!
My 0ther piece of happy news is that I also got the whole week of Christmas off approved! DOUBLE YAY!!! I was getting so depressed about this. I kept thinking "There is no way I am staying in Vegas for Christmas!" I had put in two requests (each for different amounts of time off) and both had come back denied, because they are black out days. I finally got fed up with that and frustrated with the whole situation. I was ready to walk in and give my two weeks notice. I went in and talked to my manager again, and told her the situation. She agreed to letting me have it of if I could find someone to train as a cash handler and to do signage. I agreed! So now I have Dec 20 - 27 off!!! YAY!!! I am so happy!!!
I feel so much better knowing I will be able to spend a whole week up in Utah and be able to be with all of our family to celebrate!
A piece of happy news from Mat - he only has to work a half day on Thanksgiving, so he will be home around 9am. That means we will be able to spend the whole day together! Yay! Also, he has a feeling he will be sick (cough, cough) on Christmas! We are still waiting to see what happens with his job, to know how long he will be up in Utah with us. He has applied to lots of new positions, and so we are waiting to see what comes of it.

Even knowing that this year will be kind of a 'Charlie Brown' Christmas for us (mostly Mat and I, the girls will be spoiled as usual) it doesn't matter. All I want for Christmas is for my girls to be with their Grandparents and cousins; Mat and I to be together; be in Utah with all of our family!!! It is a wish that has been granted to me and I am so thankful!
