Our Four-year Old!

Today is Emma's 4th Birthday!  I can not believe she is already 4!  She is getting so big!  (OK, she is still very petite, but she has had a growth spurt, so she is getting taller!)
Emma is very bright and learning her letters and numbers!  When we are driving around she will ready the numbers on streets and count the stop lights!  So cute!
We love her so much!  Even if she is a feisty, spunky little gal!!!

PRESENTS!!!
(In her new birthday outfit!)

One of the only things that Em could think of that she wanted was a 'light up Tinkerbell'!  I wasn't sure what it was, but we actually found it at WallyWorld!  She was so excited!

She got lots of coloring stuff!
A new swimsuit and towel!  (Yay for no more ruining the nice towels!)

Opening cards from family!  She got one from Uncle Cristin and Aunt Eric that had a holographic Cinderella on it.  She was mesmerized!

New outfits from Grandma and Grandpa Wilson!

Organizing her new stuff!

She kept saying that this was 'The bestest birthday ever!'  I am glad she had a great day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Here's a peak at my loot from Mother's Day!  Man, I got spoiled!
Before having children, I always dreamed of the day when I would be overwhelmed by paper bouquets, hand prints, and pictures!
Well, this year did not disappoint!  I got a flower bouquet from Kathryn, poem/magnet with Kisses from both girls from Church (I was the one who actually made all of the magnets for the Primary!), a "Bee autiful" craft from Kat from school, another bouquet from Kat from Art, a wonderful heart card and a handful of precious pics from Emma!
What mom wouldn't love all this?

Also, Kathryn put a 'Spa' together for me!  How amazing!
I got a foot rub, a back massage, a manicure (Bright pink polish included!), and a make-over!
I felt absolutely fab!
Kat, you are so sweet to think of me!
Oh, I also got a Photo shoot! :)
I don't think the pics do my makeup justice!  You can't really tell that I have beautiful purple eyeshadow on!  I don't know how you can miss it!  It was super dark and amazing! :)
You also don't get the full effect of my side pony-tail! ;)
I love how the lipstick and blush really compliment the jewelry Kat picked for me!
Don't ya love the lipstick on my teeth?  Classic!

I hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day!
I know I did!

Christmas Morning!

Merry Christmas!
The girls slept in until about 7:30am! That was a great way to start the day! When Em woke up she didn't even remember that it was Christmas, which was fine with me! I was able to kind of get myself ready for the day! When Kat woke up, she definitely knew it was Christmas morning! She got everyone up and ready to open presents! Once Em remembered about presents she was hard to keep out of the room where they were!
The girls were very excited to see if Santa had come and brought them some gifts!
Em got a new bike! She has been asking for one for months! While we were opening presents, she kept getting up and running into the hall where we had put the bike. She would ride it up and down the hall until we called her back in to open up some more presents!

She also got the Tinkerbell Treehouse she asked Santa for!
Grandma and Grandpa got her lots of clothes (that she desperately needed!) and the new 'Tinkerbell' movie!
Kat got 'Disney Channel Sing It!' for the Wii! I don't know if she was happy or not!
I think she was!!!
She also got clothes from Grandma and Grandpa!

After opening presents, we got ready for the day and then headed over to Great Grandma and Grandpa Wilson's house with the rest of the Wilson siblings.

Grandma and Grandpa Wilson always give the girls gifts. This year Kat got a daring sparkling scarf! And Em got a cute outfit! So sweet of them!

Silly Sarah!

Christmas Eve Night

It has been a Chugg Family tradition to go to the movies on Christmas Eve for about 20 years now. This year we went and saw 'Alvin and the Chipmunks: the Squeakquel'. It wasn't the best movie ever, but the girls liked it and the songs were fun!

After the movie, we went home and the girls got to open one present - new jammies! Another Chugg Family Tradition! This year I picked out and bought all of the jammies for my family and my parents since we stayed with them.
My mom acting sooo surprised!
Mat always has the dumbest faces in pictures! He does it intentionally, so I will intentionally post it on my blog! :)

My mom and I had matching jammies.
Mat and my dad also matched! How cute!
The girls didn't match exactly, but they were the same color.
We were then off to dream of sugarplums!
(The adults really went and spent an hour or two wrapping all of the presents!)
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Christmas Eve Morning

Christmas Eve is my niece, Ellie's birthday. We usually go out to eat for breakfast as a way to celebrate her birthday separate from Christmas Eve festivities. She usually chooses IHOP - it's her favorite! We got up early and met Jen and the girls along with their Grandpa Dan at the Layton IHOP. We had yummy pancakes and waffles! Mmmmm!
After breakfast, Mat and I headed out to the 'Greats' in North Ogden. First we stopped by Great Grandma and Grandpa Chugg's house. We had a nice visit with them and the girls got cute lap pillows for the car rides! The girls also got spoiled with treats and little special somethings that Grandma has been saving up for them from all of the parties and fun events we have missed out on!
I love my grandparents so much! I know that they are getting older, but they are still pushing on and I am grateful that we are able to visit with them!

We then headed to Grandma B's house. She is so cute! She has had surgery on both knees in the past year or so, and she is still up and running (ok, not literally!) around!
(I left the camera in the car - dang it!)
We had a nice visit with her and Mat's Aunt Jan. The girls got princess snow globes from Grandma B! Thanks for the singing toys! :)

Grandpa B happened to be at the barn feeding the cows, so we were able to see him and chat for a few minutes in the cold! Usually we have a hard time tracking him down at Christmas, so it was good to catch up with him! The girls thought the cows were pretty disgusting! I just thought it was freakin' cold! Love the Utah winters!
