Reasons I love being a mother!

Since it is Mother's day, I figured I would share some of the reasons I enjoy being a mother!
~
There's never a wrong time for a Tea Party!

~
An excuse to still feed the ducks!
~
Christmas Mornings!
~
You always have someone to snuggle with!
(Even if you don't really want to!)
~
You can always send the kids to Grandma and Grandpa's when you need a break!
~
Picnics in the park!

~
Being an Aunt is almost as much fun!
(I love my nieces so much and miss them lots!)

~
Your hubby feels guilty if he doesn't send you flowers once and a while!
~
Watching my girls grow and learn!

~
Hoping that my girls will someday be best friends like I was with my sis.
(There's always hoping, right?)
~
How can you not love being a mother when you see this face???
Or this one???

~
Watching their daddy become their Hero.

~
These girls make me want and need to be a better person and a good mom.
~
Realizing how much my own mom loves me.
Only when you are a mother can you appreciate how much your mom gave up, lived for, worried about, tried to be the best she could, loved....you.

Happy Mothers Day!!!
I love you, mom!

Our Fundraiser!

Our Bambi Chugg Thomas Healing Hearts Foundation Fundraiser last Thursday was awesome!!! We had a lot of fun and raised almost $4,000!!!

These were the comedians who performed for us. They were so funny! I apologize, because I did not write down their names. They have all been on Comedy Central and other Comedy shows. They are all either from Utah or have Utah ties.

My mom and me. :)

My Aunt Cathy, my mom's friend Karen, and my mom.
Thanks Aunt Cathy for driving up to Utah with me and for helping us out!

Waiting for the show to start, and for the room to fill up!

Thank You to everyone who came to the show,
donated items or time, or supported us in any way!
We can't do it without you!
A special Thank You to Wiseguys Comedy Club and the comedians who performed! They donated the night and their time to us!!! That's amazing!

Some of the baskets that we auctioned off that night. We raised over $2,000 just from the Auction! Thanks everyone who bid on the items!

We had a lot of charitable donations for our baskets and auction items.
We also had a raffle for a brand new BBQ Grill!
My mom spoke for a couple of minutes on what our Foundation is and where the money goes. W do not pay any salaries with the money raised; all time spent on these events is volunteer time. Most of the money goes to educate the public, and we try to find other women like Bambi that can not afford to pay all of their medical expenses. All money raised goes back into the community!
Auctioning off the baskets and items!
We had a lot of fun and hope all that came did too!
Thanks again for everyone's support!

How much does my honey love me?

He loves me a lot, I guess! At least he knows how to keep me happy!
Today was his last official day of 'freedom' - meaning that Monday he starts his new job. So we set out to run a few errands.
Since we have been down here, I have wanted to find the one and only Bajio down here. Today, we did just that! Well, it was a little, ok a lot, farther than we thought! Basically like driving from Roy to South Salt Lake for Lunch! (We should have just drove south of the border!! hehehe!) But is was delicious! I stuffed my face on yummy Ensalada Bajio Salad!!! Yum! It was worth it!
We also saw a group of missionaries there for lunch! The manager hooks them up!
Anyway, for my fellow Bajio lovers, I have partaken of the yummy food. I look forward to coming up to Utah in a couple weeks to partake even more!

New Blog!

I am just letting everyone know that I started a new blog to keep up with Healing Hearts Foundation Stuff.
I would love you to check it out if you get a chance. It's still a work in progress, but it has a little info up. I will be updating it with Fundraiser info and what we are working on next. I will also include some personal stories and experiences we have had as a result of being part of the Organ Donation Community.

I have updated it today with some more Fundraiser info, so take a look!
Thanks everyone! Thanks for your support!!!

Easter Pics!

The Easter Bunny visited on Saturday and left eggs around the house. The girls had fun finding the eggs and getting their baskets (buckets this year really). They have been on a chocolate high ever since!

Mat did an impromptu photo shoot before church while I was finishing getting ready. Sometimes, he can actually be of use!!! Kidding hun, I love you!!! (Now if he'd learn how to turn on the red eye button! heheheh! kidding again hun!!!)
Emma is looking at Kat's arm like 'What are you doing? Don't touch me!'

(forgive the red-eye! I didn't put it thru photo shop yet!)
Priceless!!!
~
P.S. Sometimes, like Sunday mornings, I really wish I had boys instead!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my mom's birthday! I hate being away when it is days like this, because I feel like I should be celebrating awith her! (Not like we really celebrate all that much! Maybe she needs to come down to Vegas and then we can really celebrate, kidding...I am kidding!)

Mom, I love you so much! And I do hate being away from you, especially in your birthday! I am so thankful to have you in my life, now more than ever! You are one of my best friends and favorite people! I am glad I have you to call and talk all my problems out with. I am glad that you have me to call and get all your frustrations out! I wish we could be together, but I am glad that we are close!

Thanks for being an awesome Grandma and buddy to the girls! They love you and miss you so much!

Happy, Happy Birthday, Mom!!!!

I love you!
